How have you been? Fine? Cool? All right? Not fine? Welp.
I have no idea how to start these so thank you for putting up with my awkwardness. I feel like I'm someone in the middle of a crowded room just trying to introduce myself each time.
How about me? Doesn't matter. Here are some ramblings to provide some sort of entertainment.
-Today's Care/Of words on my vitamin packet: " I was going to tell you a time-traveling joke, but you guys didn't like it. - c/o customer Steven S". (Harharhar)
I've been on a bookworm kick lately. A friend recently gifted me a true crime book called, "The Perfect Father", by John Glatt. I remember when these series of unfortunate events were shared on YouTube and social media back in 2018, that's how I learned about it anyways.
I remember watching the home camera footage when the wife's friend came over to speak to Chris Watts about concerns regarding his wife, Shanann's, whereabouts. I immediately knew he was guilty from how terrible of a liar he was. Not very quick on his feet for making believable excuses to cover his ass from murder.
The case has widely covered throughout the internet and through published media so I won't go into detail about it, just search Chris Watts.
ANYWAYS, the book is an easy read. I usually read it before bed (yeah, yeah, I know, I know. How and why?). It helps my brain relax and perhaps fuels it for potential weird ass dreams (none so far surprisingly).
I'm also reading "Murder Your Employer: The McMaster's Guide to Homocide", By Rupert Holmes. Can't speak on it too much though since I recently started it and have only made it past chapter one. I will say that the writing is fairly engaging and "cheeky" to keep the reader interested.
It gives me Krusty Krab instructional video vibes (for my fellow SpongeBob fans out there). There's humorous and clever explanations of how to carry out such a heinous act and it pleases my "so-called" soul.
Okok I may be enabling my ADHD tendencies but there's another book I'm reading. I'm someone that needs something different every now and then to avoid getting bored of reading too. It's like keeping up with multiple shows on a streaming app simultaneously. One also picks a show based on their mood.
So to make myself remain credible (although I don't think I ever was anyways, but you're taking full responsibility for reading this far and sticking through). I'm a grown ass woman who has accomplished a fair amount in her life. Reading "Midnight Sun", by Stephanie Meyer, is a guilty pleasure I've begun. This book brought me back to 2008 when I read Twilight (NO not Twilight 1) Twilight is the only title used for the first book only. lol who am I?
This book has been nostalgic to say the least. It's funny to find myself reading a continuation book 15 years after Twilight released when I was basically a young adult thinking they were grown up. It's a fun read and it's making me feel 18 again. It's really well written as Edward's perspective as if it was written simultaneously with Twilight. It's a thicc book so I'm sure it's going to cover all the books. We'll see. I'm giving Stephanie Meyer a chance to impress me. I'll keep ya'll posted on my progress on these books. It's a little bit more than what I should have on my plate but meh, let's give it a guoar.
